Disability NOW

Disability NOW is a organisation in Greece with an established European profile and is mostly managed by people with severe disabilities.

The aim of Disability NOW is to produce and distribute all available disability related information, in respect of fundamental rights to independence and social participation. It constitutes a major source of peer support and counselling, empowering people with disabilities with the appropriate knowledge and skills to self-advocate and exercise their civil rights, to manage their needs and to establish their own terms and choices in their lives.

The Spinalcord Injury Information Network is funded through the UAB Spinal Cord Injury Model System.

The UAB Model SCI System conducts research to improve upon and maintain a cost-effective comprehensive service delivery system from the moment of injury across the lifespan of persons who sustain spinal cord injury. Emphasis is on collaborative clinical research to solve the medical management and acute rehabilitation problems of individuals with SCI.
